A popular ornamental tree known for its rich, deep purple-red foliage that holds colour well throughout the growing season. In fall, the leaves often turn a brighter crimson red, adding strong seasonal interest.
This variety has an upright, rounded growth habit and is commonly used as a specimen tree in smaller landscapes or garden beds. It performs best in partial shade to protect leaf colour and prefers well-drained soil. Well suited to Ontario climates when planted in a sheltered location.
