A deciduous vine with medium green, heart-shaped foliage that provides seasonal interest. In late spring to early summer, it produces flat, white lacecap-style flower clusters with showy outer florets surrounding smaller central fertile florets, creating a striking display that attracts pollinators. Its vigorous climbing habit makes it ideal for trellises, fences, walls, or as a ground cover on slopes.

This hydrangea blooms on old wood, so pruning should be done sparingly after flowering to maintain shape without removing next season’s flower buds. It grows best in partial to full shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil. It is hardy, low maintenance, and adds vertical interest to gardens and landscapes.
