A deciduous conifer known for its tall, pyramidal form and soft, feathery foliage. Its bright green needles create a fine, airy texture through the growing season before turning warm shades of coppery orange to russet in fall, adding striking seasonal colour. The tree may also produce small, round cones and distinctive flared trunk bases as it matures, giving it strong architectural character.
Valued for its unique deciduous conifer habit, beautiful fall colour, and adaptability to wet conditions, it grows best in full sun and tolerates both moist and periodically flooded soils. Its durability and elegant form make it an excellent choice for large landscapes, parks, and planting near ponds or low-lying areas.
