A hardy, deciduous flowering shrub known for its large, fragrant clusters of purple to lavender flowers that bloom in late spring. The flowers are highly aromatic and attractive to pollinators. Foliage is medium green and forms a dense, upright shrub habit.
It is commonly used in hedges, borders, and traditional landscape plantings. Performs best in full sun with well-drained soil and is very cold hardy, making it well suited to Ontario climates.
