A deciduous, multi-stemmed shrub form of this native serviceberry, prized for its multi-season interest in compact, clumping form. In early spring, it produces fragrant clusters of white flowers, followed by small, sweet, edible purple-blue berries in early summer that attract birds and can be used in jams or desserts. In the fall, its foliage transforms into brilliant shades of red, orange, and yellow, adding striking autumn colour. Its naturally clumping, upright growth habit makes it ideal for hedgerows, naturalized plantings, or as a specimen grouping in smaller gardens.

This serviceberry clump is valued for its ornamental flowers, edible fruit, vibrant fall colour, and adaptability to a variety of garden conditions. It grows best in full sun to part shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil. Once established, Downy Serviceberry Clump is moderately tolerant of wind and urban conditions. Light pruning helps maintain shape, remove dead stems, and encourage vigorous flowering and fruiting.
