A popular ornamental tree known for its strong upright growth habit and rich reddish-purple foliage. The leaves emerge bright red in spring, deepen to burgundy-red through summer, and often develop brilliant red tones in fall.
This variety is widely used as a specimen tree in residential landscapes and garden beds due to its reliable colour and hardiness. It performs best in partial shade to protect foliage colour, especially from intense afternoon sun, and prefers well-drained soil. Well suited to Ontario climates when planted in a protected site.
