A fast-growing native, deciduous shade tree known for its brilliant seasonal display. Its glossy green leaves provide summer interest, and in fall, they turn vibrant shades of red, orange, or yellow, creating one of the most striking autumn colours among maples. Its rounded to oval growth habit and adaptable size make it ideal for lawns, streetscapes, and large landscape plantings.
This maple is valued for its rapid growth, adaptability to a wide range of soil conditions, and tolerance to urban environments. It grows best in full sun to partial shade and prefers moist, well-drained soil. It is hardy, low maintenance, and provides excellent shade as it matures.
