A small ornamental tree known for its finely cut, deeply red-purple foliage and attractive cascading, weeping growth habit. The foliage emerges bright red in spring, deepens to burgundy-red in summer, and often turns vibrant red in fall.
This compact variety is well suited to small garden spaces, borders, or as a specimen planting near patios. It prefers partial shade, especially protection from hot afternoon sun, and grows best in well-drained soil. Well suited to Ontario climates with some winter protection in exposed sites.
