A deciduous shade tree known for its upright, narrow columnar habit and finely textured, pinnate foliage. Its open canopy provides dappled shade, making it ideal for streetscapes, formal gardens, and urban landscapes where space is limited. Small, inconspicuous flowers appear in late spring, followed by flat, brown seed pods in summer.
Valued for urban adaptability, drought tolerance, and low-maintenance growth, it grows best in full sun and prefers well-drained soil. Minimal pruning is needed, mainly to remove dead or crossing branches.
