A deciduous ornamental tree known for its upright-rounded habit and striking, bright yellow spring foliage that matures to light green in summer. Its open, airy canopy provides dappled shade, making it ideal for streetscapes, parks, or larger landscape areas. Small, inconspicuous flowers appear in late spring, followed by flat, brown seed pods in summer.
Valued for colorful spring foliage, drought tolerance, and low-maintenance growth, it grows best in full sun and prefers well-drained soil. Minimal pruning is needed, mainly to remove dead or crossing branches.
