A deciduous ornamental tree admired for its striking foliage, which emerges pink in spring, matures to green, and is edged with creamy white margins, creating a dramatic multicoloured effect throughout the growing season. Its smooth gray bark and graceful, upright spreading habit make it an excellent specimen tree for lawns, parks, or large gardens, adding year-round structural and visual interest.

This beech is valued for its unique leaf coloration, elegant form, and adaptability to temperate garden conditions. It grows best in full sun to part shade and prefers fertile, well-drained soil. Tricolour Beech is moderately tolerant of wind and urban conditions but appreciates protection from harsh winter winds to preserve the delicate leaf margins. Minimal maintenance is required, with occasional pruning to maintain shape and remove any dead or crossing branches.
