A hybrid ornamental tree known for its large, showy white flowers in late spring to early summer. The flowers are actually large white bracts surrounding the true small flowers in the center, creating a striking display. Foliage is medium green through summer and turns shades of red to purple in fall.
This tree has a broad, rounded growth habit and is commonly used as a specimen tree in residential landscapes. It prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained, slightly acidic soil. It is generally hardy in Ontario climates when planted in a suitable site.
