How To Use The Advanced Search
Finding the right plant can take time but our Advanced Search feature makes it simple to narrow down your options and find the perfect match for your space.
How to use on the Website:
On the left-hand side of the page, under Shopping Options, you’ll find the Advanced Search filters.
Select the details about your environment and preferences to see which plants are best suited for your space..
After you’ve completed your selections, the Advanced Search will refine your results to only show plants that fit your specific requirements.
How to use on your Mobile Device:
Once you’ve selected the type of plant you’re interested in (for example, Euonymus plants), click into the catalogue.
On the top right select the “Shop By” button will take you to our Advanced Search page.
From there, you can fill out the categories that best describe what you’re looking for such as plant type, sunlight needs, or growth habits.
After you’ve completed your selections, the Advanced Search will refine your results to only show plants that fit your specific requirements.
Please note: the Advanced Search works within each plant category. This means you’ll need to use it separately for trees, shrubs, perennials, etc.
If you’re looking for a wide selection of plants (not just a specific type), scroll to the bottom of the page within the footer and click on Advanced Search. This will take you to a separate page where you can fill out as much or as little information as you like. Once completed, you’ll be taken to a results page showing all the plants that meet your requirements and growing conditions.
Once you’ve found a few plants that meet your needs, you can use the Compare Products tool to view them side by side and choose the perfect one for your garden
How Do I Use The Compare Products Feature
When searching for the perfect plant for your garden, it can be tough to narrow down your options and find one that suits your environment best. That’s why we’ve added a “Compare Products” feature, to help make your plant search easier and more efficient.
How to use on the Website:
When you hover over a plant (before clicking on it), you’ll notice two small icons next to the plant size: a heart and a compare icon (three vertical bars).
Clicking the compare icon adds that plant to your Compare Products list, which appears on the left-hand side of the page.
You can also do this after opening the plant’s product page. Just look underneath the “Add to Cart” button you’ll see two extra icons: the heart (add to wishlist) and the compare icon (add to compare). Click the compare icon to add it to your comparison list.
How to use on your Mobile Device:
The process is very similar! While browsing, you’ll see the same icons underneath each product.
Simply tap the compare icon to add a plant to your comparison list.
Once you’ve selected the plants you want to compare, tap the Compare link, this will take you to a new page showing all your chosen plants side by side.
What You’ll See
The comparison page provides detailed information about each plant including growth habits, preferred environments, fall colour, flowering colour, and whether the plant produces berries. This makes it easy to find the best match for your space and style!
