I Have An Old Tree Stump Where I’d Like My New Tree. How Can I Plant There?

If you have a stump where you’d like your new tree, we can help. We offer stump grinding as part of our planting services so the area can be properly cleared and prepared. When booking your planting, whether in store, by email, or over the phone, please let us know about any stumps including their size. This helps us quote accurately and bring the right equipment. Photos are always appreciated so our crew knows what to expect.

If we bring the stump grinder but don’t need to use it (for example, if the stump is already deep enough or the planting site changes), a floating fee of $50 applies.

If stumping is required, charges are based per stump and by size.

If a stump is found on site and our crew doesn’t have the grinder, we can either bill at $284 per hour for removal or bring the machine out with an additional delivery charge. That’s why it’s always best to scout the area ahead of time and let us know about any stumps.
